JUNE 9-12, 2026, Åland/Ahvenanmaa
(autonomous region of Finland)
Fully on-site meeting

The Space Climate Symposia Series brings together leading experts in the field of space climate to advance our understanding of the long-term variations in solar activity and their impacts on the Earth.

Join us for the Space Climate 10 Symposium in June 9-12, 2026 in Åland/Ahvenanmaa!

Sessions:

I. Sun (Dynamo, Long-term evolution of the global structure of solar magnetic fields, Long-term TSI/SSI variability, Solar activity and eruptions in the long-term prospective, Solar-stellar relations);

II. Heliosphere-magnetosphere (Cosmic rays and modulation, Long-term evolution of heliospheric magnetic field and solar wind, Geomagnetic storms and superstorms, Magnetosphere-ionosphere-thermosphere and space climate hazards);

III. Terrestrial effects and worst-case scenarios (Extreme events and worst-case scenarios, Climate and atmospheric effects, Historical proxy, Predictability in space climate, Space climate at other planets).

Poster Competition for Early-Career Researchers: for the first time, the symposium will host a poster competition dedicated to early-career researchers. A jury of senior scientists will carefully review all student posters and select the three most outstanding contributions. The winners will receive special prizes from the Finnish Physical Society as recognition of their work and to encourage active participation of the next generation of scientists in the field of space climate.
